Started as Faith's Lodge in 2007, we acquired the BeliEve Foundation in Jan of 2025 and -- together -- became the Child Loss Foundation on May 1. We are growing and serving more grieving parents in more ways. We need teammates that can work in an environment where the topic can be heavy but the rewards of helping others find hope and healing lighten the load.

Job Details

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing digital communications that expand CLF’s reach, strengthen brand awareness, and support fundraising initiatives. This role will oversee content creation, social media strategy, email campaigns, and other digital communications. The Specialist will also contribute strategically to outreach and development efforts that amplify CLF’s mission. This is a collaborative, creative position ideal for someone who can balance storytelling, digital strategy, design, and attention to detail while keeping the organization’s sensitive mission and audience at the forefront. The ideal candidate has a passion for mission-driven work and the ability to create content with empathy and sensitivity.

Qualifications

- 3-5 years' experience in digital marketing, communications, or related field (nonprofit experience preferred). - Strong graphic design skills with the ability to create compelling, on-brand content. - Proficiency in Canva (experience in Adobe creative suite a plus). - Proficiency with using, optimizing and reporting data from social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to adapt messaging to sensitive audiences. - Skilled in storytelling, able to craft authentic, emotionally resonant narratives that connect with grieving parents, donors, and community partners. - Ability to process and implement creative feedback. - Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to execute and deliver multiple projects on deadlines and budget. - Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a small team. - Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Digital Marketing: • Lead timely and accurate creation, design, scheduling, and execution of digital content across email, newsletters, social media, and website. • Manage CLF’s ongoing presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, including content calendar planning, posting, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries. • Develop and implement strategies to grow digital audiences and engagement while maintaining the voice of the organization. • Research and track social media trends, industry shifts, and cultural conversations to inform messaging. • Manage website blog content with SEO best practices in mind (original and curated content). • Provide reports and presentations monthly social media and marketing email analytics • Provide event-related marketing support, including pre-event promotion, on-site digital coverage, and post-event communications (some evenings/weekends required). Signature events include: o Walk for Child Loss (June; annual) o Northern Lights Gala (November; annual) o Third-party fundraising events as needed • Collaborate with the Development team on fundraising campaigns, including: o Annual report (content coordination, design support, distribution). o Year-end giving campaign (messaging, production, and distribution). Outreach & Awareness: • Research, identify, and cultivate outreach opportunities to grow awareness of the Child Loss Foundation. • Cultivate relationships with partner organizations and identify relevant influencers or media contacts who align with our mission and could help amplify our reach. • Seek speaking opportunities for leadership to share the Child Loss Foundation mission. Development Support: • Design and deliver impact reports that Demonstrate CLF’s reach and effectiveness. • Collaborate on the annual report by gathering and formatting content into a digital magazine. • Support donor engagement and stewardship through storytelling and digital communication. General Responsibilities: • Provide design support for other organizational collateral and marketing needs. • Contribute to team meetings, strategy discussions, and cross-departmental initiatives. • All other duties as assigned.
