Job Details

We are seeking a Fractional CFO to provide strategic financial guidance, review , and rigor as we plan for continued growth and evaluate acquisitions. This independent contractor will primarily advise the CEO and Director of Operations, with occasional interactions with the leadership team, banking partners, and external accounting firm. This is a largely remote engagement requiring approximately 2–4 hours per week, with occasional in-office meetings and additional involvement as business needs warrant. Our day-to-day bookkeeping is in hand, our books are clean, and we use QuickBooks Online. This role is therefore focused on forward-looking financial leadership, informed review , and practical decision support, rather than transactional accounting or routine bookkeeping. Qualifications

- Significant experience providing senior-level financial leadership, ideally in a fractional CFO, CFO, finance executive, or comparable advisory capacity within founder-led, privately held organizations. - Strong knowledge of GAAP and demonstrated experience with accrual-based accounting. - Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment with a lean leadership team, balancing financial rigor with pragmatism and navigating situations where information or direction may be incomplete. - Proven ability to develop and interpret short-term cash flow forecasts, financial models, budgets, and scenario analyses. - Experience advising on debt facilities, lender relationships, liquidity , and capital structure. - Experience supporting acquisition analysis, financial due diligence, or transaction modeling. - Ability to turn complex financial information into practical recommendations for business leaders. - Sound judgment, intellectual curiosity , discretion, and a willingness to challenge assumptions constructively . - Experience with technology or service-based businesses is helpful but not required. - Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and help interpret a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, identifying emerging risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. - Provide strategic guidance on capital structure and debt facilities, including lender relationships, liquidity planning, covenant compliance, and financing alternatives. - Build and evaluate acquisition models, including valuation scenarios, financing considerations, cash flow implications, and potential risks and returns. - Review financial performance, forecasts, budgets, and variances, translating the numbers into clear , actionable guidance for the CEO and Director of Operations. - Strengthen financial planning, controls, reporting discipline, and decision-making rigor appropriate for a growing business. - Advise on financial scenarios and significant business decisions, balancing growth opportunities, profitability , liquidity , and risk.
