The Nonprofit Board Lab is built on the principle of iron sharpening iron—bringing together nonprofit leaders, board members, philanthropic partners, and corporate board placement professionals for open exchange, peer dialogue, and connections that extend across the nonprofit ecosystem. Through interactive sessions, participants listen, share perspectives, and learn from one another. Designed so you walk away with insights and tools to strengthen board governance, empower leadership, and operate with strategic flexibility. Volunteers for the Nonprofit Board Lab will play a key role in ensuring the success of the conference by providing logistical, operational, and guest support. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about nonprofit governance, philanthropy, and community-building to contribute to an impactful event.
Enthusiasm for nonprofit governance and philanthropy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable managing event logistics in a fast-paced environment.
Set up (9:30- 11:30) Assist in preparing for the conference Signage placement Magazine/books on tables Gifts other items into storage (coat room: Minnesota Room) Other duties as needed Wayfaring (10:00-12:15, 1:50-2:25-1st break into breakout rooms) Welcome and guide attendees as they arrive throughout the building Registration Coat check Restrooms Memorial Hall Coffee, refreshments Breakout rooms (Heritage, Johnson, Swain)
