We are seeking a compassionate and reliable In Home Caregiver to join our care team in Burnsville, MN. This role involves assisting clients in their homes with daily living tasks to support independence, comfort, and safety. The ideal candidate is dependable, empathetic, and committed to providing respectful, person-centered care. Other locations where we provide care include (but not limited to): Bloomington, Richfield, Savage, Apple Valley, Eagan, Farmington and Lakeville, MN.
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required—training provided. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff. Dependable, patient, and compassionate with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study. Reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as needed. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities (as assigned). Provide reminders to take medications or perform regularly scheduled exercises or treatments. Provide standby assistance for safety while performing daily activities. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Note: Not all clients need these services and we can pair caregivers appropriately if you you are not comfortable doing these tasks. Monitor and report changes in client condition or concerns to supervisors. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided according to agency and state requirements. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients. Follow all agency policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations.
