We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Contract Specialist to assist with the review, analysis, and editing of legal contracts and agreements. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and legal integrity of various contractual documents between Kraft Mechanical and our suppliers or subcontractors, General Contractor’s, Direct to Owner customers, and will act as the primary contact for internal and external customers in matters relating to terms and conditions of contracts; as well as supporting contract lifecycle management. Ideal for a legal professional seeking flexible hours! We are flexible and open to both remote and hybrd work.
• Associate's in Paralegal Studies from a nationally accredited paralegal program is required. Juris Doctor (JD) or relevant legal education a plus. • Minimum 3 years of experience in contract review and management. • Solid understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and legal terminology. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively. • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and contract management systems. • Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include: • Review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including but not limited to client and vendor agreements, subcontracts, purchase orders, service agreements and confidentiality agreements, to ensure compliance with established company financial, operational and risk tolerance guidelines. • Identify and communicate potential legal and business risks. • Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. • Edit, revise, and redline contracts as needed in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external parties. • Maintain an organized system for tracking contract status, deadlines, and renewals. • Provide summary reports or contract analysis to legal or business teams. • Work with internal departments to align contract terms with business goals.
