Job Description: St. Bart’s School is seeking a dynamic person who is ready to serve students and families in our school childcare program, "Clubhouse". Clubhouse offers students active play time, games, legos, crafts, quiet time (homework/reading), STEM activities, and outdoor activities. The Coordinator is responsible for student safety, leading structured activities, monitoring gym, outside activities, and free choice time, administering first aid, assisting with student daily departures, and maintaining a safe, organized, and joyful care environment. The coordinator hires, schedules, and leads staff and plans all program details. (25% office time/75% student contact time) Onsite availability during school days from 3:15pm-5:45pm M-F, with option for more hours prior. Flexibility on non-school days and during the summer. A successful candidate will enjoy elementary age children and provide for kids after school each day school is in session. Option to bring your own school-aged children along, at the discretion of the hiring manager. Essential Job Functions Maintain safety protocols and account for student safety at all times. Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized space for children. Advertise and communicate all program details with parents and appropriate staff. Hire, train, and supervise adult staff, and high school student-workers. Schedule employees to appropriately cover all program needs. Plan, coordinate, and maintain registration of students. Track attendance and report tuition to accounting staff for billing. Lead and maintain a positive environment that encourages appropriate conduct and behavior according to the Clubhouse Handbook. Maintain regular communication with school administration, office staff, and Clubhouse staff.
At least 21 years old (required) Experience working with children (preferred) Ability to implement effective classroom management strategies Familiarity with Google Suite and other software applications Effective oral communication skills Able to take initiative while fostering teamwork and collaboration Integrity in handling confidential and/or sensitive information and situations CPR and First Aid certified within 90 days of hire Onsite availability during school days from 3:15pm-5:45pm M-F, with option for more hours prior.
