The role is an inside sales position with an emphasis on customer service and project management. Our salespeople are expected to know the intricacies of our products and provide our customers with the best possible solution to their issue. It’s imperative to the success of the role to be a self-learner and not be afraid to ask questions. The role may include an opportunity to travel to projects across the United States to ensure correct project implementation, evaluations of fall protection hazards for customers, and the building and maintaining of relationships. Finding, identifying, and solving fall protection hazards involves a significant amount of problem solving. No rooftop, mezzanine, structure, jobsite, or steel mill are alike. Creativity alongside analytical and spatial reasoning skills play an important role in the project management role of EDGE Fall Protection.
Work Experience and Education ● Construction or manufacturing experience preferred ● Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred ● Sales experience or Business Degree ● 3-5 years customer service experience preferred Skills of an Ideal Candidate ● Self-motivator and self-starter ● Problem solving skills ● Interpersonal skills with customer service focus ● Critical Thinking Skills ● Spatial Reasoning skills ● High Organizational skills ● Strong work Ethic ● Ability to prioritize tasks ● Speaks and writes clearly ● Inquisitive ● Coachable ● Understanding or background in construction preferred ● Drive to become subject matter expert on fall protection – keeps informed of new products and OSHA standards ● Sales experience preferred ● Able to performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed ● Team Oriented mentality ● Computer literate (Proficient in Microsoft Systems)
Expected Outcomes of this Position: ● $2,000,000 in annual sales within first 15 months of employment ● Communicate with inbound leads within 20 minutes first by phone, then by email. ● Three touch points with each customer within 36 hours ● Working alongside team members to facilitate the success of longer-term projects, including working with install team and project coordinator ● Complete 1-5 Rock tasks (goals within the company that allow the company to grow and operate more efficiently) each 90 days, as determined in quarterly meetings ● Within 90 days have a thorough understanding of all products, their application, and OSHA fall protection standards and have a thorough understanding of all products offered and their appropriate application. ● Continued learning of industry developments and changes
