Action Plumbing Heating Air & Electric was built into an eight-figure home services company on a foundation of faith-driven leadership and operational excellence — proving out real systems and frameworks in the field every day. The Action Group exists to take everything learned building that company and hand it directly to other trades business owners so they can achieve the same growth. It's a coaching business focused on leadership development, sales strategy, accountability, and mindset transformation for HVAC and home service owners — still early-stage and actively scaling. Both companies operate around the same four pillars: Faith, Family, Fitness, and Finances. These aren't marketing language — they're the actual standard the founders hold themselves to and expect the people around them to respect, regardless of personal faith background. The underlying purpose is to help trades business owners build not just profitable companies, but sustainable lives — where growing the business doesn't mean sacrificing family, health, or personal integrity along the way.
This Chief of Staff role is presented through InFocus Virtual Solutions and supports Ben Jordan and Theron Leany, co-founders of Action Plumbing Heating Air & Electric and The Action Group, a coaching company for HVAC and home service business owners. While placed through InFocus, this is a hybrid, in-person-required position based in Fountain Hills/East Valley, Arizona (Mountain Standard Time, no DST), working directly with and reporting to Ben and Theron. The Chief of Staff acts as the founders' right hand — seeing across both businesses, both founders, and their families to filter what needs attention, execute what can be handled independently, and escalate only what truly requires the founders' input. This is a strategic partnership role, not an administrative or scheduling position, and requires the judgment to anticipate needs and make calls without waiting to be asked. The position is currently part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the Chief of Staff establishes systems and becomes an operational anchor for both businesses.
Must-Haves: *Local to Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, or the greater East Valley, Arizona area, and available for in-person work *5+ years of experience as a Chief of Staff, senior Executive Assistant, or in operational leadership within a founder-led environment *Strong independent judgment — able to act on clearly-owned decisions without waiting for permission *Comfortable holding complexity without needing it broken down *Reliable availability during the founders' active hours (afternoon through evening, Arizona time) *Strong personal stress management that doesn't affect day-to-day performance You'll Thrive Here If You: *Have supported multiple executives at once and can juggle competing priorities without dropping any *Are comfortable building processes from scratch, without an existing playbook *Naturally think two or three steps ahead rather than focusing only on the immediate task *Can flex your communication style — warm with one person, direct with another — even within the same hour *Have a track record of being the first call your principal makes, because they trust your judgment completely
*Full Picture Ownership – Track everything in motion across both businesses so nothing is dropped or lost in someone's head; know what's coming, what's conflicting, and what needs attention before it becomes a problem. *Founder Leverage – Filter and prioritise what reaches Ben and Theron; handle what can be handled directly and escalate only genuine priorities. *Calendar & Scheduling – Manage both founders' business and personal calendars, proactively preventing conflicts and protecting time; monitor external calendars that affect their schedules. *Communications – Serve as the central hub for inbox management, follow-ups, client communication, and internal messaging across both companies; triage and respond where appropriate. *Operational Execution – Own travel logistics, event coordination, vendor management, and project follow-through from start to finish. *Systems & Infrastructure – Manage and own Go High Level for invoicing, client tracking, and workflow; build out SOP documentation for repeatable processes as they're identified. *Travel Coordination – Arrange complex, often last-minute itineraries for events, speaking engagements, and coaching travel, including family travel when relevant. *Personal & Family Support – Coordinate and protect date nights, school events, and family commitments; keep Ashley Jordan informed and included as a key stakeholder.
